Vision

‘Working together as one – with God all things are possible’

Matthew 19:26

“St. Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary School is a great place to learn and develop. We are committed to ensuring that your child’s time at St. Wilfrid’s is full of fun, happiness and success.” Chair of Governors

At St Wilfrid’s we believe that every child has great potential and that this is not limited by their background or start in life.  We do not look at where a child comes from, but consider where they will go and how we can help them achieve to their dreams.  We understand that if we have the highest of expectations of ourselves, and all children, we will put no limits on how much can be achieved.

Our vision for St. Wilfrid’s is to be a school where we seek:

  • To create an environment in which children can experience the pleasure that comes from success in learning - stimulated by a broad and balanced curriculum - thereby building self-confidence and self-motivation that will continue beyond their time at St. Wilfrid’s.
  • To strive to develop children’s initiative, independence and sense of responsibility, stemming from school-based, Christian and British Values.
  • To encourage children to have respect for the demands of a rapidly changing society with due regard for equality of opportunity, encouraging children to have respect for others and fulfil our mission statement, “Working together as one”.
  • To provide our children with experiences and actively participate in a cyclical, systematic and relevant skill and knowledge based curriculum that evolves to meet the needs of all.

Working together as one; with God, all things are possible.
